New Ultra-thin Gauge Foil Line Put Into Operation

Several brand-new, fully automated production lines for ultra-thin aluminum foil (known as “double-zero foil”) have recently commenced operations. The launch of these lines has effectively alleviated the global supply crunch for high-end aluminum foil materials and met growing global demand. Featuring intelligent upgrades and fully optimized processes, these lines deliver exceptional production efficiency and consistent product quality.

In the Chinese aluminum foil industry, “double-zero foil” is defined as ultra-thin aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 0.01 mm, typically ranging from 0.005 mm to 0.009 mm. The name derives from the two zeros following the decimal point in its thickness measurement, distinguishing it clearly from standard “single-zero” or thicker aluminum foil products. As a high-precision, lightweight material, double-zero foil offers advantages such as ultra-thin texture, excellent flexibility, superior barrier properties, and chemical stability, providing unique value in sophisticated, high-end applications where standard foils fall short.

Leveraging its outstanding overall performance, this new fully automated production line produces ultra-thin double-zero foil, which is widely used in food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, electronic insulation, new energy equipment, precision instruments, aerospace auxiliary materials, and many other fields.

The newly operational ultra-thin foil production line adopts fully automated integrated production technology, covering raw material smelting, precision rolling, surface finishing, constant-temperature annealing, intelligent quality inspection and finished product packaging.
