The term “double zero” comes from the thickness format, such as 0.006 mm, 0.007 mm, 0.009 mm, where two zeros appear after the decimal point. Double-zero foil is a “high-end precision choice,” characterized by its thinness, lightness, and high barrier properties, and is used in high-end fields with stringent material requirements. The double-zero foil process is extremely difficult, requiring multiple precision rolling passes and stringent requirements for equipment accuracy, rolling oil quality, and temperature control to prevent breakage or uneven thickness. Furthermore, it necessitates multiple annealing treatments to ensure the material’s ductility and flexibility; otherwise, it is prone to embrittlement and breakage.
