2024 aluminum coil is a heat-treatable aluminum–copper–magnesium alloy in the 2xxx series. It is well known for its high strength, excellent fatigue resistance, and good machinability, making it one of the most widely used alloys in the aerospace and high-performance structural industries. Due to its relatively lower corrosion resistance, 2024 aluminum sheet is often supplied with cladding or surface treatments to enhance durability.
